About the position

The Application Engineer is responsible for providing functional solutions and support for various Business Applications at Taghleef Industries. This role involves understanding business processes, user requirements, and the applications used within the organization. The engineer will analyze current processes, recommend enhancements, and provide secondary functional leadership for multiple applications, ensuring effective integration across functional areas.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve Tier 2 user system problems by gaining and applying expertise in SAP ERP, Honeywell OptiVision, SAP Business Warehouse, and other applications.
  • Assist Project Leader with feasibility studies, project scope, and prioritization of deliverables.
  • Create detailed Business Requirement documentation in the form of Functional Specifications.
  • Provide analytical support by coordinating reporting and data extraction needs.
  • Participate in Acceptance testing and Full Process Testing.
  • Provide End User training and create documentation for applications.
  • Participate effectively in a team environment.
  • Learn and apply Taghleef development methodologies.
  • Train, support, install, and recommend new software/hardware solutions for end users.
  • Maintain professional communications with all levels of the organization.
  • Provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Business Applications in a Manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with SQL queries and Microsoft Office.
  • Preference for SAP experience, but any ERP system experience is desired.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with additional applications or toolsets used to support business processes.
