About the position

Apple is seeking an Applications Engineer to contribute to the development of next-generation interactive computing technologies, including augmented reality (AR), machine learning (ML), and computer vision (CV). This role involves prototyping innovative user experiences and collaborating closely with Apple's Human Interface design team to explore and define new application concepts and UX paradigms.

Responsibilities

• Develop prototypes at the cutting edge of technology to enhance user experiences.
• Collaborate with artists, designers, and engineers to define and validate new application concepts.
• Solve complex technical problems related to interactive computing.
• Work in a dynamic and creative environment to assess the viability of ideas and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 0-2 years of equivalent industry work experience.
• Basic understanding of computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Swift, Objective-C, C++, Java, Python).
• Experience through internships, hackathons, or personal projects.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years of experience in iOS development.
• Experience with AR application development.
• Familiarity with basic software development practices (e.g., code reviews, testing, documentation).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Good communication skills for team collaboration.
