About the position

The Applications Engineer at Cambridge Air Solutions will provide consultative technical sales support for custom-designed commercial and industrial air solutions. This role involves collaborating with various teams to deliver technical expertise, develop training materials, and support product configuration software, ultimately improving indoor air solutions for manufacturing and distribution environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical product expertise and sales support to clients and internal teams.
  • Create and deliver innovative technical educational content for external users and the internal sales team.
  • Support pre- and post-sales endeavors to develop solutions for production application and controls challenges.
  • Generate user-specific content for technical and instruction manuals.
  • Support the continuous improvement of product configuration and quoting software.
  • Serve as a consultative design partner to identify standard and customized solutions for indoor climate challenges.
  • Participate in the product quote process to deliver viable and accurate submittal packages.
  • Discuss and propose controls systems to meet job-specific requirements.
  • Function as a technical liaison to custom engineering and factory floor during design, manufacturing, and installation phases.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of experience in providing technical product expertise to end users and sales partners.
  • Experience with HVAC load calculations, fan curves, electrical and schematic design, feasibility studies, site surveys, and construction drawings.
  • Expertise in technical content creation and developing training materials.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a focus on customer trust and confidentiality.
  • 4-year degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
