The Application Engineer at CFM Company will play a crucial role in providing technical support for both CFM Engineering Sales and Contractor Sales, as well as assisting CFM Customers. This position requires a strong foundation in engineering principles, excellent communication skills, and effective time management abilities to handle multiple product and system inquiries efficiently. The Application Engineer will be trained to address questions related to HVAC Systems and Equipment, ensuring that both internal and external stakeholders receive accurate and timely information. In the Engineering Sales Support capacity, the Application Engineer will work closely with Sales Engineers and Consulting Engineers, providing essential support throughout the engineering sales process. This includes answering product and system questions, assisting with equipment selections, updating specifications, and managing system layouts. The role demands a collaborative approach, as Application Engineers will need to share workloads and ensure prompt responses to inquiries. For Contractor Sales Support, the Application Engineer will assist contractor sales staff in selecting, applying, and pricing engineered products, as well as handling special design requests. This includes generating and reviewing submittals for engineered products and providing technical assistance where necessary. The Application Engineer will also support the proper application of technologies throughout all phases of a project, from preconstruction and design to purchase, installation, and post-installation support. The work environment is primarily office-based, with occasional visits to customer offices, job sites, and factory training sessions. The role is largely sedentary, with some physical demands such as filing and lifting files as needed. The position is full-time, with standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
