About the position

As part of our mission, we are developing a next-generation Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system that will enable a Model Based Enterprise (MBE) strategy across the corporation. The Advanced Manufacturing Applications Leader will be instrumental in this transformation, working closely with various departments including Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, Quality, and Manufacturing Operations. This role requires collaboration with senior leaders to develop new processes, tools, and techniques that align with the strategic goals of the company. The successful candidate will leverage their functional expertise to drive innovative solutions that not only delight our customers but also enhance operational efficiency and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs). In this role, you will be responsible for forming the technical roadmap and digital transformation for Advanced Manufacturing, coordinating with functional groups to gather requirements, and supporting product owners and developers in implementing solutions. As the IT Product Owner and solution architect for the Advanced/Digital Manufacturing enterprise platform, you will partner with business process owners and peer Enterprise IT teams to deliver new solutions and upgrades in an Agile environment. Your responsibilities will also include defining technical solutions, overseeing PLM software development, engaging with suppliers, and providing subject matter expertise to business partners and third-party service partners. You will be expected to build strong relationships with key functional leaders and vendors to ensure that IT system operations align with business strategies, while also researching and sourcing innovative ideas that focus on customer delight and system efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Program Leadership, Executive Sponsors, and Business partners to form the technical roadmap and digital transformation for Advanced Manufacturing.
  • Coordinate Functional groups to gather requirements and drive to-be business processes with relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Support product owners and developers in solution implementation.
  • Act as the IT Product Owner and solution architect for the Advanced/Digital Manufacturing enterprise platform.
  • Partner with business process owners and peer Enterprise IT teams for Agile-based delivery of new solutions and upgrades.
  • Define technical solutions and provide oversight of PLM software development.
  • Engage with suppliers to assess roadmaps and alignment with key applications and strategies.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise and guidance for Business Partners and Enterprise Applications partners.
  • Build strong relationships with key functional leaders and vendors to align IT system operations delivery with business strategy.
  • Research and source innovation ideas, focusing on business benefit, customer delight, and system efficiency/stability/sustainability.
  • Oversee functional analysis for Advanced/Digital Manufacturing Technology projects and enhancements.
  • Ensure adherence to standards for enhancements and projects, including functional design sign-off.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience and expertise with leading PLM concepts for Manufacturing Bills of Materials (MBOM), Bills of Process (BOP), process simulation, plant simulation, and integrations from PLM to manufacturing systems.
  • Experience with business change with transformative technologies.
  • Experience with Advanced/Digital Manufacturing tools and technology (on-prem and/or SaaS).
  • Experience with strategic roadmap execution and vendor management.
  • Experience leading diverse, global teams either directly or indirectly.
  • Experience partnering with business stakeholders.
  • Experience managing or overseeing IT projects.
  • Experience delivering solutions using Lean and Agile methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of model-based manufacturing strategies and functional knowledge of adjacent domains of MBE, such as MBD and MBSE.
  • Strong Manufacturing based functional/configuration experience with applications such as Teamcenter, Windchill, Enovia, Tecnomatix, and/or Delmia.
  • Strong knowledge of PLM, MES, and ERP integrations and processes. Experience with Apriso MES and Oracle ERP is a plus.
