About the position

The position involves managing, implementing, and evaluating daily operations and support for Clinical Support applications, specifically in Lab, Radiology, and Radiation Oncology. The role focuses on ensuring system stability, compliance with standards, and effective resource utilization while driving workflow efficiencies and supporting organizational initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with technology and medical leaders to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Plan, manage, implement, and evaluate Clinical Support Systems for 24/7 availability.
  • Communicate and implement system enhancements and upgrades as needed.
  • Develop policies and metrics to ensure system effectiveness and user satisfaction.
  • Evaluate departmental operations to ensure excellent customer service and prompt issue resolution.
  • Measure and improve customer satisfaction outcomes using best practices and ITIL methodologies.
  • Provide feedback to staff and develop plans for continuous service improvement.
  • Manage project plans for system upgrades and new implementations from conception to production.
  • Assess operational objectives and optimize staffing levels for daily operations and projects.
  • Implement performance management practices and provide coaching and mentoring to staff.
  • Build cross-functional teams and develop evaluation criteria for high performance.
  • Align department goals with organizational vision and communicate initiatives to staff.

Requirements

  • Proficient with Radiation Oncology software (Elekta, Sun Nuclear, Varian).
  • Knowledge of Radiology software (Epic, DICOM routing, PACS).
  • Understanding of technical architecture (servers, databases, networks).
  • Knowledge of clinical operational workflows and IT system interactions.
  • Ability to establish relationships with vendors and consultants.
  • Experience in supervising and developing application and business analysts.
  • Proficient with desktop and project management tools (MS Office, MS Project, Visio).
  • Proven track record in managing production support.
  • Strong process management and leadership capabilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Build experience in Radiology and/or Radiation Oncology applications.
  • Support experience with medical devices.
  • Experience implementing/supporting complex third-party clinical applications.
  • Experience managing ticketing systems and dashboards.
