About the position

The Applications Support Specialist II plays a crucial role in the Technology team by troubleshooting and resolving escalated service desk tickets. This position also assists in all phases of new application development, testing, and implementation, particularly within time automation, time entry, and time collection systems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for impacting lives and the community, providing essential support to end users and ensuring the smooth operation of various applications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end user support for custom and vendor-supplied applications, including troubleshooting and resolving problems.
  • Document application support process flows.
  • Experience with applications such as Bullhorn Time & Expense, Kronos, and custom time collection systems.
  • Create and execute basic SQL Server reports and T-SQL queries.
  • Provide Tier I & II support as requested from various constituencies.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot application issues.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions about applications.
  • Guide end users on how to effectively use applications.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in an IT systems/applications support environment.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages: HTML, JavaScript, and VBScript.
  • Experience using Microsoft SQL Management Studio.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Visio, including creating custom macros using VBA.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with time automation and time collection systems.
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages or tools.
