About the position
The Applications Support - Advanced role at BCforward involves providing technical support for applications and infrastructure within a financial institution. This position requires monitoring production environments, addressing issues, and implementing automation solutions to enhance operational stability. The role also includes collaborating with various teams to resolve ATM-related issues and conducting root cause analysis to prevent future problems.
Responsibilities
- Monitor production environments for anomalies using tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, and Grafana.
- Assist with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and identify monitoring gaps.
- Implement solutions to address monitoring gaps using appropriate tools.
- Lead and drive automation opportunities across the application and infrastructure environment.
- Support incident, problem, and change management for applications and infrastructure.
- Act as the second line of support for ATM hardware and applications.
- Collaborate with ATM Support groups and product owners to resolve issues and defects.
Requirements
- Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages and/or automation scripting.
- Working understanding of public cloud technologies.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and Grafana.
- Consumer banking experience is preferred.
