About the position

The Applications Support Analyst at Sanford Health is responsible for providing routine support for healthcare information systems and applications. This role involves investigating and resolving support issues, creating and maintaining training documentation, and recommending improvements for application workflows. The analyst will work collaboratively with various departments and vendors, utilizing strong analytical and communication skills to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine healthcare information system and application support.
• Investigate or escalate support issues using analytical skills.
• Resolve incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of training documentation.
• Support and/or lead training sessions using appropriate presentation techniques.
• Research, analyze, and recommend application workflow improvements.
• Create and analyze reports using multiple reporting mechanisms.
• Collaborate with other departments and outside vendors to meet business needs.
• Manage change effectively and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.
• Prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Healthcare, Business, or related field preferred.
• One year of relevant experience in application support, hardware, or interface preferred.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude are expected.
• Ability to communicate diplomatically across integrated teams.
• Proficiency with software such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software is required.
• Knowledge of multimedia tools and software development is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of ITIL philosophies is helpful.
