About the position

The Applications Support Analyst at Sanford Health is responsible for providing routine healthcare information system and application support. This role involves utilizing analytical skills to investigate and resolve support issues, creating and maintaining training documentation, and recommending improvements for application workflows. The analyst will work collaboratively with various departments and vendors, manage change effectively, and ensure excellent customer service while communicating across integrated teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine healthcare information system and application support.
• Investigate or escalate support issues using analytical skills.
• Resolve incidents and service requests.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of training documentation.
• Incorporate appropriate presentation techniques to support and/or lead training sessions.
• Research, analyze, and make recommendations for application workflow improvements.
• Create and analyze reports using multiple reporting mechanisms.
• Gather, analyze, design, develop, modify, test, implement, evaluate, and maintain information technologies to support business needs.
• Promote and participate in a team approach.
• Work with other departments and outside vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Area of focus in Information Technology, Healthcare, Business, or related field preferred.
• One year of relevant experience in application support, hardware or interface preferred.
• Information Technology (IT) certification must be obtained within six months of date of hire and within three attempts of certification testing.

Nice-to-haves

• Operational clinical research experience.
• Knowledge of multimedia tools and creation of training support documentation.
• Software development or web-based applications experience.
• Basic knowledge and support of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) philosophies.
• Knowledge in state and federal laws, rules and regulations.
