About the position

The Applications Support Engineer will be responsible for providing first-line support for various application systems across North/South America and the EU, focusing on SAP ERP Module SD and EDI integrations. This role involves collaborating with corporate IT and stakeholders to ensure effective solutions are developed, managing IT projects, and supporting EDI implementation projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support for SAP ERP Module SD and EDI systems in North/South America and EU.
• Escalate unresolved application system issues to Corporate IT and collaborate on business requirements.
• Gather system requirements and build relationships with users to understand their business processes.
• Lead workshops to demonstrate SAP best practices and identify business improvements.
• Work with Corporate IT on system implementation, including gathering requirements and performing SAP configurations.
• Write detailed specifications for custom program development and conduct testing.
• Manage IT projects initiated by the North/South America region, ensuring project objectives are met.
• Support EDI implementation projects by gathering and documenting requirements and conducting analysis.
• Coordinate with external consultants and project teams during implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology administration.
• More than 7 years of in-depth experience in SAP SD and EDI formats (X12, Idoc, Webmethods/RFC).
• Excellent system analytical skills.
• Experience working with outsourcing consulting.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Ability to elaborate functional and technical specifications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze issues, identify sources, and provide solutions.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (preferred).
• Knowledge of IT professional skills such as XML, SQL, HTTP, HTTPS, etc.
• Experience with IT technical definitions and architecture.
