About the position

As an Applications Support team member in the Commercial Bank, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. Your expertise in application technology support will be vital in propelling operational success and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, identifying, escalating, and resolving production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, which is essential for delivering a seamless user experience. In this role, you will provide end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations across the firm. You will support the day-to-day maintenance of the firm's systems to ensure operational stability and availability. Additionally, you will assist in monitoring production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools. Your ability to identify issues for escalation and communication will be key, as you will provide solutions to both business and technology stakeholders. You will analyze complex situations and trends to anticipate and solve incidents, problems, and changes in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure. Your contributions will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity and performance of our technology services, ensuring that our applications run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations of the firm.
  • Support the day-to-day maintenance of the firm's systems to ensure operational stability and availability.
  • Assist in the monitoring of production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools.
  • Identify issues for escalation and communication, and provide solutions to the business and technology stakeholders.
  • Analyze complex situations and trends to anticipate and solve incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on premises and public cloud.
  • Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques.
  • Exposure to processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
  • Experience in Application Support.
  • Working knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
  • Strong experience working with teams in developing meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages and/or automation scripting.
  • Working understanding of public cloud.
  • Experience in a large Financial Services Technology environment.
