Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various departments to integrate applications with the university's mobile platform.
  • Assist clients in identifying needs and defining system scope and objectives.
  • Monitor, define, create, and modify procedures to address complex challenges.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document application software.
  • Provide technical oversight for coding practices and compliance with standards.
  • Prepare and review detailed specifications for program development.
  • Evaluate software products and programming languages for project applicability.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with business and technical requirements.
  • Provide guidance to other staff members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with 9 years of experience, Associate's degree with 5 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience for Associate Application Systems Analyst.
  • High school diploma with 11 years of experience, Associate's degree with 7 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience for Application Systems Analyst.
  • Relevant IT experience in systems analysis/programming in a business or university setting.
  • Knowledge of advanced troubleshooting and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Project management skills and ability to work in a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to explain technical information to a non-technical audience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with data visualization and data governance.
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar data warehouse solutions.
  • Familiarity with GitHub or other code repositories, SQL, Python, JSON, cloud infrastructures, ETL tools, API connectivity and development, Azure, Logic Apps, Swagger, DataFactory, or Salesforce.
