About the position

The Applications Systems Admin II position at Service Credit Union is a critical role within the IT Applications team, responsible for maintaining the operations and performance of the enterprise IT application systems. This role ensures that the systems align with current and future business requirements while adhering to corporate and local policies and procedures. The successful candidate will work closely with the Manager of Applications and Systems to manage the deployment, maintenance, and support of the Credit Union's applications and business systems infrastructure. In this position, the individual will oversee the operation, installation, and maintenance of various IT application systems, including business applications, custom applications, and processes, as well as application and database servers. The role also involves developing and maintaining comprehensive application documentation, including installation processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), checklists, guides, best practices, and procedures to support effective application management. The Applications Systems Admin II will provide support to IT teams with operational and support tasks related to applications, participate in a regular rotation for on-call duty, and maintain confidentiality regarding credit union policies, member financial data, and personal information. Building and maintaining professional relationships with peers, management, and members through cooperation and mutual respect is essential. The role may also require performing other duties as needed to support the team and the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the operation, installation, and maintenance of the IT application systems infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain application documentation including installation processes, SOPs, checklists, guides, and best practices.
  • Provide support to IT teams with application operational and support tasks.
  • Participate in a regular rotation for on-call duty.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding credit union policies and member financial data.
  • Provide quality support and maintain professional relationships with peers, management, and members.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Experience deploying, upgrading, and maintaining business systems and applications.
  • Experience developing and maintaining SQL and Powershell scripts/processes.
  • Understanding of API integrations (REST, SOAP).
  • Design, implement, and package business applications and upgrades for deployment using SCCM.
  • Experience upgrading and maintaining Business Operating Systems including Microsoft Windows Server 2016-2022, Microsoft Windows 10 and 11, and Linux Red Hat in both on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Operational knowledge of creating, renewing, and maintaining SSL/TLS certificates.
  • Operational knowledge of database structures and operations, specifically MS-SQL.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MS-SQL Server including clustering, HA groups, deployments, migrations, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Operational experience with MS Server administration including service accounts, security groups, and GPO deployments.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to understand complex information systems and ensure accuracy of work.
  • Understanding of project management fundamentals.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient with Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and various web-based applications.
