The Applications/System Engineer plays a crucial role in the semiconductor industry by researching, developing, designing, testing, and documenting products and systems. This position is focused on continuous improvement of processes and methodologies, achieved through collaboration with peers and cross-functional teams. The engineer will analyze activities to enhance workflow and work processes, ensuring that products and systems transition smoothly from concept to launch. Key areas of focus include Automation, Industrial Control Panels, Test and Measurement Equipment, and Fluid Control Systems. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for providing comprehensive engineering documentation, which includes creating bills of materials, schematic drawings, design calculations, and technical reports. The engineer will also conduct research and analysis to assess customer or marketing requirements, specifications, and manuals, determining the feasibility of designs or applications. Additionally, the engineer will design test equipment and develop methods and procedures for testing products or systems, ensuring that all designs meet the necessary standards and requirements. The Applications/System Engineer will assist in resolving customer issues related to Ichor-designed products and will support the generation of technical information for sales literature and application inquiries. Effective communication with Engineering Department personnel is essential to foster a cooperative work environment and ensure project success.
