About the position
The Apprentice Electrician position at Rabalais Constructors, LLC involves assisting experienced electricians in the installation and repair of electrical systems. The role is essential for ensuring that electrical work is performed safely and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of various projects in industrial and commercial settings.
Responsibilities
- Assist electrician in installing and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
- Measure, cut, and bend wires and conduit using hand tools.
- Drill holes for wiring and pull or push wiring through openings.
- Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects such as wiring and motors.
- Perform minor repairs like replacing fuses, light sockets, and switches.
- Maintain tools and equipment, keeping supplies and parts organized.
- Disassemble defective electrical equipment using hand tools.
- Load, transport, unload, and furnish Electrician with materials and tools.
- Clean work area and restock supplies as necessary.
- Erect scaffolding and assist in securing materials during installation.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
- Must comply with safety standards.
- Must have own hand tools.
- Must be able to furnish own transportation to job sites.
Nice-to-haves
- Valid Texas driver's license preferred, but a State or Government issued ID is acceptable.
