About the position
We are seeking an Apprentice Electrician to join our team at JG Buckland Electrical in Longview, TX. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will work under the guidance of experienced electricians to learn the trade and gain hands-on experience. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about electrical work and eager to learn from seasoned professionals. The pay for this position ranges from $18.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on the verification of experience. It is a full-time role with an 8-hour shift schedule, and you will be required to work in person at our Longview location. In this role, you will assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. You will learn to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams, perform tasks related to electrical construction projects, and troubleshoot electrical issues under supervision. Adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times is crucial in this position. To qualify for this role, you must have a valid Apprentice card and possess knowledge of hand tools commonly used in electrical work. Familiarity with residential, industrial, and commercial electrical systems is essential, along with an understanding of low voltage and high voltage systems. You should be able to use ohmmeters and voltmeters for testing and have a basic knowledge of electrical principles and the National Electrical Code (NEC). A willingness to learn and build a career in the electrical industry is a must.
