The Apprentice General Manager at Chipotle is responsible for leading the restaurant team in daily operations, acting as a role model for the company's values and culture. Responsibilities

  • Leading the restaurant team in successful day-to-day operations by example and as a role model.
  • Acting as General Manager in their absence.
  • Training and developing the restaurant team, especially Kitchen and Service Managers.
  • Ensuring employees are paid properly and prepared for career opportunities.
  • Identifying talent, interviewing, and hiring new Crew members.
  • Participating in personnel decisions regarding the restaurant team.
  • Writing schedules that meet business needs for a great customer experience.
  • Assisting the General Manager with administrative duties including payroll and inventory management.
  • Communicating company changes and focus to the team.
  • Building sales and managing the restaurant budget.
  • Maintaining a clean restaurant with excellent quality food and customer service.
  • Ensuring cleaning and sanitation standards are met.
  • Assisting with local store marketing opportunities.
  • Emphasizing safety and security standards and training employees in appropriate responses.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory role in the restaurant industry.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to lead and develop people.
  • Experience as a Chipotle Service Manager.
  • A.A. or B.A./B.S in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use a PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
