About The Position

The Apprentice Instructor position at Big Bear Mountain Resort involves training individuals of all ages in skiing and snowboarding while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for guests. This seasonal role supports the Ski and Ride School departments and is located at either Snow Summit or Bear Mountain in Big Bear Lake, California.

Requirements

• Effective communication skills with respect and maturity.
• Ability to read, understand, and comply with safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Ability to operate equipment as trained.
• Capacity to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Complete the training process for teaching skiing and snowboarding to children and adults.
• Provide support to all Ski and Ride School departments.
• Ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for guests.
• Communicate effectively with staff and guests as an ambassador of service.
