About the position
The Maintenance Instrument Apprentice position at Venture Global LNG is a 12-month apprenticeship program designed to train candidates in the skills necessary to become a skilled Instrument Technician. The program combines classroom instruction with hands-on training under the supervision of experienced professionals, focusing on the maintenance and operation of instruments used in the LNG industry.
Responsibilities
- Observing and assisting experienced Instrument Techs in day-to-day tasks.
- Learning how to use and understanding Venture Global documents, including policies, procedures, and P&IDs.
- Recording daily activities, reporting data, and assisting in maintaining records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Following safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Communicating with other Instrument Techs and Supervisors to ensure effective learning and communication.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license before start date OR Honorable discharge from any 4-year military service.
- Successful completion of the degree with a 3.0 GPA prior to start date.
- Successful completion of a Craft Specific certification program prior to start date.
- Pass a DOT background check, drug screening, physical exam, and acquire TWIC card.
- Must be available to work a shift schedule, including nights and weekends.
