About the position

The Principal Product Manager at IBM is responsible for leading product ownership and growth, driving innovative development, and fostering an Agile team environment. This role requires strategic leadership to align stakeholders and establish partnerships that enhance product value. The position also involves mentoring junior product management team members and ensuring continuous improvement in product management practices.

Responsibilities

• Own multiple product areas or a standalone product, contributing to the strategy, steering growth and continuous improvement.
• Foster an Agile team environment, maximizing productivity throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
• Drive innovative development with a roadmap centered on maximizing customer outcomes and minimizing technical debt.
• Lead your product's strategy by aligning multiple stakeholders, delivering valuable outcomes, and realizing the intended impact.
• Establish strategic partnerships to amplify the value and reach of your product.
• Collaborate and support other Functions in the organization for accelerated business growth and product market success.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement in the team, mentoring junior members of the PM team.

Requirements

• Proven track record of successful product ownership and growth.
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to develop a compelling product business case.
• Experience in end-to-end product development across the full product lifecycle.
• Ability to effectively communicate and manage multiple stakeholder relationships.
