About the position

The APRN/PA Inpatient - Ortho Spine position involves providing comprehensive care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, focusing on orthopedic spine conditions. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and may involve performing assessments, developing treatment plans, and managing patient care throughout their hospital stay and follow-up visits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with orthopedic spine conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding orthopedic spine health.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to care coordination.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the medical record.

Requirements

• Current APRN or PA licensure in the state of practice.
• Experience in orthopedic or spine care preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in Orthopedic Nursing (ONC) or similar specialty certification.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
