The role includes the application and management of topical wound care and associated products, as well as directing and recommending services to enhance wound healing outcomes. This encompasses a range of services including labs, radiologic tests, vascular tests, referrals, home health care, and the use of devices like Vacuum Assisted Closure and orthotics. The position also requires the interpretation of diagnostic tests and making appropriate follow-up recommendations. Additionally, the role involves assessing diabetic foot ulcer risks for diabetic patients according to ADA guidelines, educating patients on wound management, and providing updates to primary care physicians regarding their patients' conditions. The individual will act as a resource for health-related decisions and collaborate with staff to identify and meet customer needs.
