About the position
The Aquarium Technician position involves maintaining saltwater and freshwater aquariums for a local maintenance company serving clients in the DC, MD, and VA areas. The role requires reliable and hardworking individuals who can perform various aquarium maintenance tasks while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform water changes in aquariums
- Scrape algae from tank surfaces
- Aqua-scape aquariums according to client specifications
- Acclimate and transport fish as needed
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their aquarium needs
Requirements
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must provide your own vehicle with insurance
- Ability to lift at least 30 lbs
- Strong communication skills
- Punctual and reliable
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in saltwater or freshwater aquarium maintenance
- High school diploma or GED
