About the position

The Aquatic Operations Manager at Goldfish Swim School is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility, ensuring safety, quality swim instruction, and excellent customer service. This role involves managing staff, training lifeguards, and maintaining the pool environment to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for students and their families.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager with daily tasks.
• Oversee staff scheduling and manage wet side staff productivity.
• Train and supervise the aquatics department for superior swim instruction.
• Interact with wet side staff regarding class scheduling and student progress.
• Manage the facility, including the mechanical room, and troubleshoot as necessary.
• Maintain a high level of knowledge in pool operations for safety and sanitation.
• Develop wet side staff and ensure high-quality swim lessons.
• Direct and implement the Emergency Action Plan and safety procedures.
• Train and manage lifeguards and ensure their certifications are current.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a certified lifeguard, lifeguard instructor, swimmer, swim coach, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, or childcare provider preferred.
• Certified Pool Operator and Lifeguard Instructor certifications preferred.
