About the position

The Aquatics General Manager at Goldfish Swim School is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the swim school, ensuring high-quality service and safety standards are met. This role involves managing staff, pool operations, customer service, and various administrative tasks to create a positive and productive environment for both employees and students. The General Manager plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction while promoting the mission of teaching kids to swim safely.

Responsibilities

• Directs and controls daily operations to ensure compliance with GSS standard operating procedures.
• Manages staff to ensure high productivity and positive employee satisfaction.
• Trains and oversees the aquatics department to provide superior swim instruction.
• Schedules staff and manages payroll effectively.
• Works with staff on class scheduling, student progress, customer service, and employee performance & training.
• Implements the Emergency Action Plan and safety procedures, training staff accordingly.
• Maintains current certifications and stays updated on aquatics and management best practices.
• Acts as a GSS ambassador to provide a Golden Experience to students, families, and team members.

Requirements

• Proven experience in management or supervisory roles, preferably in a similar environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of aquatics safety and emergency procedures.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the aquatics industry or swim instruction.
• Background in customer service or retail management.
