About the position

The AR/AP & Payroll Specialist at Superior Mechanical Contractors, LLC is responsible for managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processes. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in financial management to ensure accurate processing of invoices, payments, and payroll, while also assisting with month-end and year-end reconciliations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer invoices, payments, and collections for Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Process vendor invoices and payments for Accounts Payable (AP).
  • Handle employee payroll, deductions, and benefits.
  • Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end and year-end processes.
  • Resolve any financial discrepancies.
  • Perform basic payroll timecard data entry for payroll service.

Requirements

  • Experience in AR, AP, and payroll processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Minimum 2 years experience with general contracting, project billing and payables, and payroll data entry.
  • Experience with quantity tracking, AIA forms, and general job costing.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge in QuickBooks is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn additional tasks and grow with the company.
