About the position

Tuesday's Natural Dog Company is a locally owned and growing wholesaler of all-natural dog chews located in Loveland, Colorado. Our CEO started the initial one-man operation out of his garage in 2009, and now we are over 60 individuals strong! The AP/AR Specialist plays an integral part in our finance department. This individual will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate data to help gauge our performance as a company. The AP/AR Specialist position supports the Director of Finance and Human Resources by completing day-to-day activities and transactions designed to maintain the financial records and document them within the company software. Duties include processing and monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable, gathering documents, verifying transactional information, and emailing invoices. The specialist will identify late or insufficient payments and report them to the Financial Controller as needed, while maintaining confidentiality of financial information. Additional responsibilities include creating and reconciling invoices, accurately processing and tracking client transactions including refunds and back orders, processing Merchant Services deposits, computing and filing county and state sales tax returns, and managing tonnage, agricultural, and feed licenses. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Processing and monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable

Requirements

  • 2+ years AP/AR business experience
  • NetSuite experience (preferred)
  • 2+ years common bookkeeping/accounting transaction experience, including processing sales tax for multiple states
  • Proficient in IOS Mac (Preferred)
  • Experience with Google Sheets and Excel (Required)
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • High level organizational skills
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
  • Database management experience
  • Ability to work autonomously without being micro-managed to deliver timely results that are done with excellence
  • A positive attitude and coachable demeanor
  • A dependable work ethic
