About the position

The Accounts Payable Clerk position is a contract role focused on efficiently processing invoices and maintaining vendor records for a company specializing in IT services and consulting for non-profit organizations. The role involves working in a supportive environment with opportunities for professional growth and development, transitioning to a fully remote schedule after an initial two-week in-office training period.

Responsibilities

  • Process invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain vendor records.
  • Prepare and file annual 1099s.
  • Respond to inquiries related to accounts payable.
  • Prepare invoice accrual entries.
  • Support audit requests.
  • Apply financial policies with moderate supervision.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in accounts payable.
  • Proficiency in basic Excel functions (SUM, COUNT, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Netsuite is highly preferred.
