About the position

Robert Half is seeking an AR Specialist to join our finance team, playing a crucial role in managing accounts receivable operations. This position involves processing customer invoices, managing accounts, reconciling payments, and ensuring accurate financial transaction recording in the Great Plains accounting system. The role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to efficient financial management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute accurate and timely invoices to clients.
• Accurately record and process incoming payments, including checks, credit card payments, and electronic transfers.
• Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Communicate with customers regarding overdue accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
• Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on accounts receivable status, aging reports, and other relevant metrics.
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and implement collection procedures.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts receivable transactions.
• Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve any billing issues or discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused attitude.
