Responsibilities

• Accurately translate reports and texts in both electronic and hard-copy formats, capturing intended implications and nuances.
• Interpret spoken language accurately, primarily through consecutive interpretation, with occasional simultaneous interpretation as needed.
• Review audio or internet materials and transcribe them with a high degree of accuracy and expression.
• Prepare reports with excellent English-language written communication skills.

Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent formal military training with 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to pass a language test administered by Leidos or an accepted commercial testing vendor.
• Willingness to attend and pass all sponsor-related training and meet travel and medical requirements.

• Experience deployed as a linguist in contingency operations.
• Knowledge of the U.S. Intelligence Community, military, cryptologic, and law enforcement.
• Proficiency in multiple languages.
