About the position

Araiys Design is seeking entry-level Landscape Architects to join their growing design team. The firm, known for its commitment to creating designs that reflect client visions while respecting local ecology, offers a dynamic work environment. Candidates will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including residential, commercial, recreational, and municipal designs, while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on multi-disciplinary projects
• Assist in site development including conceptual design and project management
• Prepare construction documentation and planting plans
• Create hand and computer graphics for design presentations
• Work on multiple fast-tracked projects with pressing deadlines

Requirements

• Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
• Strong technical, graphic, and design abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suites (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and Microsoft Office
• Experience with residential, commercial, recreational, and municipal design
• Knowledge of local plant material
• Registered or pursuing licensure as a Landscape Architect in New York State is a plus

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in hand/computer graphics
• Knowledge of Lumion, Sketch-up, or other 3D programs
