About the position

Arbor Masters is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Certified Arborist to join our team as an Arbor Advisor in Shawnee, KS. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $120,000, with commission-based opportunities. As an Arbor Advisor, you will play a crucial role in the success of our Shawnee branch, focusing on sales, profitability, and community growth. Your responsibilities will include performing risk assessments, preventing the spread of diseases or pests, and developing comprehensive tree care plans to ensure the healthy growth of trees and plants. In this role, you will be responsible for prospecting new clients, conducting in-person consultations, performing tree risk assessments, and implementing tree care plans. You will also communicate sales goals with the Branch Manager, work with Accounts Receivable to facilitate service terms and collections, and ensure quality control on job sites by liaising between crews and clients. Proactive communication with clients and adherence to safety procedures are essential aspects of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new clients on an ongoing basis
  • Perform in-person and swing-by consultations to provide proposals for tree care and plant health care services
  • Perform tree risk assessments
  • Develop and implement tree care plans
  • Look for common signs of disease or pest infestations
  • Communicate proposed and accepted sales goals with the Branch Manager on a weekly basis
  • Work with Accounts Receivable to facilitate 'day of service' terms and collections
  • Meet crews on jobs as needed or requested by clients to ensure quality control and act as a liaison between crew and client
  • Relay detailed scope of work and estimated hours for scheduled jobs to the crew
  • Proactively communicate with clients and address any issues
  • Follow all safety procedures

Requirements

  • 5 years of tree industry experience
  • ISA Certified Arborist Certification required
  • Extensive knowledge of tree and plant care standards and best practices
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to research, diagnose, and communicate complex tree problems and treatments
  • Basic math skills and understanding of business financials
