About the position

The Arcade Technician Manager is responsible for overseeing the repair and operation of bowling and arcade equipment, ensuring all machines function at optimal levels. This role involves managing maintenance schedules, training staff, and addressing customer complaints regarding equipment malfunctions. The position requires a hands-on approach to technical repairs and a commitment to maintaining a fun and safe environment for customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure bowling equipment is serviced and maintained.
• Conduct lane maintenance and repairs on bowling lanes and pinsetters.
• Train other mechanics in safety procedures and standards of operation for bowling equipment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety practices and procedures.
• Update and maintain the inventory system for bowling equipment.
• Identify and suggest repairs and replacements for malfunctioning bowling equipment.
• Update preventative maintenance charts for bowling center equipment.
• Ensure high-scoring lane conditions meet USBC specifications.
• Complete Brunswick mechanic training programs for assigned machines.
• Service and maintain amusement arcade games.
• Respond to customer complaints regarding machine malfunctions and analyze issues.
• Manage installation, maintenance, and repairs of arcade game machines.
• Transport and assemble machines using various tools and equipment.
• Obtain bids for regular and emergency repairs/maintenance of the facility.
• Monitor and schedule regular maintenance of building systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop.

Requirements

• Two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Solid communication skills and strong critical thinking abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a bowling center or arcade environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in arcade machines.
