About the position

The Architect 4 position at Comcast involves providing technical leadership in designing and developing software and web applications within the telecommunications domain. The role focuses on creating detailed solution architectures using modern technologies and methodologies, ensuring that solutions are efficient, operable, and maintainable. The position also includes mentoring team members and collaborating with various stakeholders to meet business needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in designing and developing new software and web applications in the telecommunications domain.
• Develop detailed solution architecture using microservices, Rest APIs, Java, Angular JS, SQL, Graph QL, Plant UML, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Vizio, and Draw.io.
• Perform Order Management and Business Process Management.
• Use API platforms including Postman, SOAP UI, and Parasoft SOA.
• Work with OSS/BSS in the telecommunications domain.
• Document design elements with sequence diagrams, Swagger API specs, and related diagrams.
• Collaborate with product owners, solution designers, and developers to refine and clarify stories.
• Ensure programs are envisioned, designed, developed, and implemented across the enterprise to meet business needs.
• Interface with the enterprise architecture team and other functional areas to ensure efficient solution design.
• Ensure solutions are well engineered, operable, maintainable, and delivered on schedule.
• Track and document requirements for enterprise development projects and enhancements.
• Monitor current and future trends, technology, and information that will positively affect organizational projects.
• Apply and integrate emerging technological trends to new and existing systems architecture.
• Present solutions to senior architects.
• Plan and design new or upgraded systems.
• Interact with departments to implement improvements in process.
• Develop solution architecture (both tactical and strategic) to manage/support enterprise needs, services, systems, and technology management.
• Mentor team members in relevant technologies and implementation architecture.
• Develop, document, and ensure compliance with best practices including coding standards, object-oriented designs, and human interface guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Five (5) years of experience performing Order Management and Business Process Management.
• Experience using Graph QL.
• Three (3) years of experience developing detailed solution architecture using microservices and Rest APIs.
• One (1) year of experience developing software using Jira, Confluence, Java, and SQL.
• Experience using API platforms including Postman and SOAP UI.
• Experience working with design applications including Microsoft Vizio and Draw.io.
• Experience working with OSS/BSS in the telecommunications domain.
