About the position

The Design Manager at Miele is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies for luxury products within a designated territory. This role involves engaging with dealers, industry professionals, and key decision-makers to drive sales and enhance brand presence. The Design Manager plays a crucial role in both new business development and maintaining relationships with existing dealers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to promote Miele products effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy for Miele luxury products.
  • Engage and educate Authorized Dealers, prospects, and industry professionals through sales and marketing programs.
  • Secure project business in the identified marketplace through day-to-day interactions.
  • Present to C Level Executives at developer and architectural firms.
  • Focus on sales budgets, new business development, and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Establish new retail customers and key partnerships with developers and architects.
  • Manage existing dealers to increase sales volumes using available sales tools and programs.
  • Conduct monthly business review meetings with key business partners.
  • Increase branding through territory marketing and dealer displays.
  • Maintain brand display excellence and educate customers on new products.
  • Participate in trade shows and dealer promotions to foster customer relations.
  • Support and implement marketing plans and new product launches.
  • Prospect and interact with key decision makers for multi-unit project opportunities.

Requirements

  • Five years of experience in outside sales of luxury brands preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue.
  • Ability to develop sales strategies and use performance KPIs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to accommodate a minimum of 4 nights per week of overnight travel.
  • Valid Driver's License.
