About the position

The Architect and Design Development Manager at Miele Incorporated is responsible for developing and executing strategies to sell luxury products while fostering relationships with dealers and industry professionals. This role involves engaging with key decision-makers, managing existing dealer relationships, and driving sales through marketing and training programs to achieve annual sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Present to C Level Executives at Developer, Architectural Firms, and the Design Community.
  • Focus on sales budgets, new business development, and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Establish new retail customers, key developers, and general contractor architects to promote Miele products.
  • Manage existing dealers to utilize sales tools and programs to increase sales volumes in the assigned territory.
  • Create monthly business review meetings with key business partners to track progress towards goals.
  • Increase branding through consistent territory marketing and dealer displays.
  • Maintain brand display excellence.
  • Contact existing customers regularly to inform, train, and educate them on new and current Miele products.
  • Participate in trade shows, sales promotions, and dealer promotions to foster customer relations.
  • Engage in the overall experience at Miele's Experience Centers.
  • Support and implement marketing plans, promotions, and new product launches.
  • Prospect and interact with key decision-makers to develop long-term partnerships for multi-unit project opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Five years of experience in outside sales of luxury brands preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue; field sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to develop sales strategies and use performance KPIs.
  • Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with CRM is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated presentation and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to accommodate a minimum of 4 nights per week of overnight travel; valid Driver's License required.
