About the position

The Domain Architect for Healthcare Claims is responsible for driving enterprise optimization within the Claims domain by leveraging extensive knowledge and expertise to develop architectural solutions that align with business needs. This role involves translating business requirements into effective architectural strategies, ensuring performance, reliability, and security while adhering to enterprise roadmaps and standards. The architect will lead the design, implementation, and enhancement of Claims systems, collaborating with various stakeholders to maximize the impact of architecture on organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Leads preparation of Claims domain architecture viewpoints and models depicting current, target, and interim states.
  • Identifies and analyzes pain points and opportunities in the Claims system.
  • Leads design, engineering, and implementation of Claims assets for internal solutions.
  • Collaborates with other teams and stakeholders to understand needs and maximize architecture impact.
  • Researches emerging domain trends to determine their relevancy and fit for the organization.
  • Leads vendor evaluations and selection processes for domain-specific tooling.
  • Develops and enhances architecture domain methods and tools.
  • Conducts domain assessments for complex new projects to evaluate architecture impacts.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Architecture Domain, specifically in Claims processing systems.
  • Background in Cobol/Mainframe is required, with the ability to understand Cobol program functionality.
  • Healthcare background is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
