About the position

The Domain Architect for Healthcare Claims is responsible for driving enterprise optimization within the Claims domain by leveraging extensive knowledge and expertise to develop architectural solutions that align with business needs. This role involves translating business requirements into effective architectural strategies while ensuring compliance with performance, reliability, and security standards. The architect will lead the design and implementation of claims-related assets, collaborate with stakeholders, and oversee the development of domain architecture methods and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Leads preparation of Claims domain architecture viewpoints and models depicting current, target, and interim states.
  • Leads design, engineering, and implementation of Claims assets for internal use in solutions to improve solution quality.
  • Leads collaboration with other teams, key stakeholders, and partners to understand needs and maximize architecture impact.
  • Leads research on emerging domain trends to determine their relevancy and fit for the organization.
  • Leads vendor evaluations and selection process for domain-specific tooling.
  • Leads the development and enhancement of architecture domain methods and tools.
  • Leads domain assessments for complex new projects for architecture impacts.

Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience in Architecture Domain, specifically in Claims domain and claims processing systems.
  • Background in Cobol/Mainframe is required, with the ability to understand Cobol programs at a high level.
  • Healthcare background is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.

  • Ability to motivate and influence others to meet project objectives.
  • Ability to coach, delegate, and develop architects and engineers.
  • Expertise with domain-related architecture frameworks, methods, and tools.
