As an Architectural and Design (A&D) Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by fostering and managing relationships with architects and designers. Your primary focus will be on representing our premium interior design products and services, with the goal of increasing product specifications and sales revenue within the A&D community. This position requires a proactive approach to client engagement, ensuring that you develop and sustain strong, long-term relationships with assigned accounts. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, deeply understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction through various means, including product presentations, library updates, and events such as lunch & learns held in our showroom. In addition to client engagement, you will be responsible for supplying the design community with necessary specification documents, pricing estimates, and product samples, including our signature Metro Quartz line. Onsite product support and technical assistance will also be part of your duties, which may involve customer and job site visits as needed. Active participation in local industry associations, such as ASID and IIDA, is expected, including attending after-hours events to maintain relationships with key subcontractors and fabricators in the region. Your role will also involve creating and implementing strategies to grow existing accounts by identifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and service expansion. You will set and reach targets for revenue growth and account development while staying up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of the organization's product offerings and their applications for clients will be crucial, as you will offer design consultations and assist with product selection. Effective communication is key in this role, as you will need to clearly communicate proposals, solutions, and updates to clients. You will develop and deliver engaging presentations and persuasive proposals, coordinating and hosting presentations with supplier factory representatives as needed. Negotiation skills will be essential as you negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients, ensuring accurate documentation and execution of all contracts. Additionally, you will provide material quotes to contractors and subcontractors for ongoing projects, including MetroQuartz. Data analysis and reporting will also be part of your responsibilities, as you will analyze client data, market trends, and performance metrics to identify growth opportunities. Regular reports on account performance and strategies will need to be compiled, and you will track and document all client specifications from initial consultation to order completion, managing project and sales activities through the company's CRM system. Problem-solving skills will be necessary to identify and address challenges within client accounts with innovative solutions. Collaboration with teams across product development, marketing, and customer support will be essential to meet client needs, and you may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
