About the position

At Cosentino, we are looking for a Commercial Sales Manager to join our Distribution team in Washington, D.C. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work in a multinational environment that is currently expanding, allowing you to engage with numerous challenging projects. As an Architect & Designer Sales Manager (ADSM), you will be responsible for developing, managing, and growing Cosentino's product awareness, acceptance, and sales within the contract design and commercial segments for both interior and exterior applications. Your primary focus will be on increasing sales and brand loyalty by actively engaging with architects, designers, fabricators, developers, and related contractors, while also collaborating with other members of the Cosentino Sales Team. In this role, you will create both short- and long-term sales plans aimed at penetrating architectural and design firms, developers, corporate accounts, new property owners, and service providers. You will execute these sales plans within agreed-upon timelines, managing your own sales budget and maintaining discipline to stay within assigned sales and expense budgets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Additionally, you will promote the organization's products through formal presentations to architects and designers, and represent Cosentino at local chapter events for ASID, IIDA, and AIA, among other targeted associations. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining accurate relationships and project details within the project management database (Salesforce CRM), ensuring timely communication across all parties for successful sales implementation, and coordinating with Cosentino Account Managers and business partners to ensure the successful execution of local projects. You will commit to continual learning about Cosentino Surfacing Products and provide recommendations to senior management based on key sales information related to markets and regions.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate in a timely manner across all parties to ensure successful sales implementation.
  • Coordinate with Cosentino Account Managers and business partners for successful project execution.
  • Commit to continual learning about Cosentino Surfacing Products and their applications.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of building materials/construction/commercial projects sales experience.
  • 2+ years of proven capacity to interact with multiple levels within commercial industry projects.
  • 1+ year of business development experience.
  • High School/GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business or related field desired.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in stone fabrication or distribution.
  • Knowledge of building materials.
