About the position

The Architect - Government Representative will support a long-term contract with the Federal Government, acting as the Government owner's technical representative. This role involves advising on the design and construction of new and existing buildings on the DHS Headquarters campus, collaborating with a team of Federal employees and contractors. The position allows for up to 50% telework after acclimation to the team and tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Government owner's technical representative for design and construction projects.
  • Advise on the design and construction of new and existing buildings on the DHS Headquarters campus.
  • Collaborate with Federal employees and contractors on architectural projects.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in architecture or design.
  • Minimum of 4 years architectural project experience.
  • Must be able to pass a Government background check.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit.
  • Ability to navigate complex situations requiring diplomacy, interpersonal skills, and judgement.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with design/construction of Federal government space.
