About the position
The Software Architect role is a full-time position focused on modernizing a risk assessment modeling platform used in the life insurance sector. This position involves a combination of design, architecture, and hands-on coding, specifically transitioning a legacy .NET monolith to a microservices architecture. The role offers the opportunity to work with advanced technologies and methodologies, contributing to high-impact projects within a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on coding, architecture, and design (70%)
- Collaboration with architecture team and stakeholders (20%)
- Mentoring and guiding development teams (10%)
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, and AWS Cloud Architecture
- Expertise with API Gateway, CQRS patterns, and event sourcing
- Solid background in event-driven and service-oriented architecture
- Experience with RabbitMQ/MSMQ and SQL databases
- Microservices architecture and integration design
Nice-to-haves
- Kafka experience
- React and Java development knowledge
- Prior experience with EHR/FHIR or healthcare/insurance platforms
