This role, Software Architect - TikTok Privacy, is crucial in designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems that prioritize user privacy and data protection. The architect will work closely with product management, engineering, privacy, and security teams to ensure that our systems and services are built to meet TikTok's privacy requirements and standards. In this position, the architect will be responsible for integrating privacy considerations into TikTok's architecture and development processes. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions that meet both business and privacy requirements. The role requires a deep understanding of privacy principles and laws, as well as the ability to identify and evaluate new technologies and tools that could enhance TikTok's privacy posture. Additionally, the architect will provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers on the team regarding privacy-related topics, ensuring that the entire team is aligned with TikTok's commitment to user data protection. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software technologies and architecture, including experience with distributed systems, databases, messaging systems, and caching. Familiarity with microservices architecture, containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is essential.
