TYLin's Architectural and Visualization Group (AVG) is seeking an Architectural / Computational Designer to join the team. This position may work remote. The AVG is a small, elite architecture studio that works on TYLin's most signature structures around the globe. Projects range in scale from billion-dollar rail & road bridges to small iconic pedestrian crossings. We currently have projects across the US, the Middle East, and southeast Asia. The role involves architectural design of bridges and other signature infrastructure, complex Rhino 3D modeling of projects and surroundings, and complex parametric modeling using Grasshopper. The designer will also be responsible for producing 2D architectural drawings and diagram graphics, project rendering production, and architectural presentation layout and graphic production. Additional tasks include architectural support tasks such as materials, products, and code research. The team works in close collaboration with TYLin's top engineers, utilizing a suite of 3D printers and CNC routers for in-house scale mockups and architectural presentation models. We are looking for someone with expert level experience in Rhino & Grasshopper 3D modeling, who is self-driven, creative, has an eye for great design, enthusiasm to solve complex details, and can work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team. As our projects are on the cutting edge of design and technology, this job will be fast-paced, exciting, and rewarding. Applicants should have a degree in the Visual Arts, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Computational Design or related fields. Bridge design experience is not required, but knowledge of structural principles is a benefit. Location is flexible. Please submit a portfolio of work samples along with your resume.
