About the position

HKIT Architects is seeking a full-time Architectural Designer to join their dynamic team in Oakland, CA. This role involves participating in the design and documentation of various projects, including multi-family residential, senior living, and TK-14 school developments. The position offers professional growth potential and requires a collaborative approach within a diverse office environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with project team on various phases of projects from conceptual design through construction administration.
• Produce design and construction drawings in Revit format that are complete and accurate.
• Manage own schedule and workload, completing tasks assigned in a timely manner.
• Conduct jobsite visits and other construction administration tasks as applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Architecture program required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an architectural office required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working on California public schools projects required.
• Proficiency in Revit is required.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, and InDesign is appreciated.
• Strong design and communication skills are essential.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree preferred but not required.
• Experience with sustainable building systems such as LEED BD+C or Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) or Zero Net Energy design.
