About the position

The Architectural Designer at FGM Architects plays a crucial role in developing design concepts and project documentation while collaborating with various design disciplines. This position emphasizes community building within the firm and focuses on delivering high-quality architectural services to a diverse range of clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing the design and implementing the building program with the project's Design and Technical Leads.
• Prepare project documentation appropriate to each phase of the project.
• Coordinate with other design disciplines such as Structural, MEP, and Civil.
• Demonstrate knowledge of finish materials for both exterior and interior applications.
• Understand the technical implications of design decisions and contribute to the development of practical, buildable details.
• Prepare presentation materials to effectively communicate design ideas.

Requirements

• 3 - 10 years of relevant experience in architectural design.
• Resourceful and strategic problem solver.
• Motivated and self-starter personality.
• Capable of working independently and flexible in transitioning to a team environment.
• Proficient in Revit with experience in preliminary design and construction drawings documentation.
• Knowledge of modeling and rendering in 3-D software such as Enscape, Lumion, or FormIT.
• Professional degree in architecture from an accredited program; candidates on the licensure track preferred.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
