About the position

The Architectural Designer role focuses on the design and development of custom ceilings using sheet metal, primarily utilizing AutoCAD and SolidWorks. The position requires a strong understanding of architectural design principles and the ability to create detailed fabrication drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM). The designer will work closely with department leads to ensure that all designs meet project specifications and standards.

Responsibilities

• Creating & modifying shop, fabrication and product drawings using AutoCAD or other software (SolidWorks).
• Creating Bills of Material (BOM) through Excel or other software.
• Preparing & modifying material take-offs (RTP) and releasing through the MRP system (M2M).
• Creating and generating fabrication drawings and DXF's for manufacturing (RTM).
• Reading and interpreting architectural & other construction-related drawings, documents, and specifications.

Requirements

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
• 3-5+ years of design experience in architectural design and sheet metal.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; SolidWorks experience is a plus.
• Experience in creating Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Ability to read and interpret architectural prints.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with MRP systems (M2M).
• Familiarity with construction-related documents and specifications.
