Responsibilities

• Develop detailed drawings and plans for commercial construction projects using AutoCAD.
• Partner with engineers, architects, and project managers to create comprehensive design solutions tailored to construction methods.
• Interpret and review project specifications, blueprints, and other technical documents specific to design.
• Ensure all designs meet relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Update and revise drawings based on feedback from stakeholders and evolving project requirements.
• Keep accurate records of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation.

Requirements

• Prefer Design/Drafting related degree/certifications
• 1+ years of experience in structural or architectural drafting/design for commercial construction projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience with other design software (e.g., Revit, SketchUp) is a plus
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes
• Exceptional precision and attention to detail in drafting and design work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with 3D renderings would be a big plus.
