2WR l ug is seeking an Architectural Designer for its Columbus, GA office who will be responsible for assisting the project architect and project manager from programming through construction administration. This position will work across multiple sectors of architecture including commercial, healthcare, higher education, local government, Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA), and manufacturing. This is a full-time, in-office position. The individual will be responsible for production of design documents following conventional across all phases of projects, including field documentation, design concepts, plan development, and visualization that best meet the client's needs. We are seeking someone who independently applies architectural concepts and designs; carries out assignments to company and industry standards; and prepares design drawings, submissions, reports, and client presentations. The position requires balancing several projects at a time on differing schedules and at various stages of completion. The Architectural Designer will engage with active projects in the office, virtually, and on the job site. Essential functions include the independent application of architectural skills to design from programming through construction documents on conventional design solutions. The designer will carry out assignments at a skilled level with appropriate use of time and resources, prepare design drawings, submissions, reports, and client presentations, and comply with company design standards, procedures, and policies for all project types. The role requires strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Revit, and familiarity with Bluebeam, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office. The designer must possess strong knowledge of design concepts, phases, and document development, and collaborate with the Project Architect in the production of project documentation including site surveys and design drawings for all phases of a project. Staying up-to-date with the latest code and industry standards is essential, as is the ability to coordinate and maintain the quality of workmanship throughout the duration of a project. Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and demands of multiple projects are also key attributes for success in this role.
